Job Overview:

Note:  This is a term position, 6 months full-time (40hrs/wk), based in Halifax Nova Scotia. The successful candidate will be required to provide proof of Nova Scotia residency for 2023 tax year. Work will take place on site at our Halifax office.

We are seeking a 2D Animator with solid skills in Adobe After Effects. In this role, you will animate and refine text elements within existing projects. You'll use automation and AE scripts to improve efficiency and ensure consistency. This role involves structured, repetitive tasks but offers the potential for a more creative opportunity upon completion. We’re looking for candidates who are organized, detail-oriented, and effective problem-solvers. This is a great role for someone motivated by the impact of quality educational media with a global reach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Animate and reconfigure text elements within pre-designed educational animation projects.

• Work primarily with Adobe After Effects, utilizing automation and scripts to streamline tasks.

• Maintain consistency in animation quality and style across all deliverables.

• Ensure meticulous attention to detail

• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and improve workflow processes.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, with a strong understanding of automated processes and running scripts within AE.

• Experience with 2D animation, particularly in simple, educational styles.

• Entry- to mid-level experience in animation or motion graphics.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail.

• Ability to thrive in a structured, somewhat repetitive task environment, with a positive attitude toward future creative growth.
